untitled-1

Sve teme prijedlozi su voditelja odbora, odabrane uzimajući u obzir preference svakog pojedinog voditellja. Sve teme, također, spadaju pod temu zasjedanja: “Reconstructing roads towards integrity”.

1. Committee on Constitutional Affairs (AFCO)

Love it or leave it: While more recently established countries are trying to join the EU, the United Kingdom voted to leave it, having a huge impact on many other Member States. How can the EU avoid other countries to follow the example of the UK, considering that some Eurosceptic and Brexit supporting parties are gaining a high number of voters?

2. Committee on Employment and Social Affairs (EMPL)

Europe 2020?: The unemployment, lack of education and poverty in Europe are still at high. With only three more years to go, how can the EU ensure that fighting poverty and social exclusion, one of the top 5 targets of Europe 2020, is achieved?

3. Committee on Environment, Public Health and Food Safety (ENVI)

Mens sana in corpore sano: With 38% of the EU population suffering from mental health disorders every year but only a third of those receiving the necessary treatment, how should the EU support people suffering from these mental health issues and ensure they are treated equally in all areas of society?

4. Committee on Women’s Rights and Gender Equality (FEMM)

Equal pay for equal work: Taking into account the different approaches of the Member States, what steps should the EU take to ensure equal rights for all its citizens, regardless of their gender identity, in order to achieve income equality?

5. Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE)

“You are the last best hope of Earth”: While the Paris Agreement had its entry into force on 4th of November 2016, experts and civil society already point out the weaknesses of the agreement. What actions should be taken by each individual to advance the EU’s energy transition towards renewable energy?

6. Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE)

Leaving no one behind: Considering hostile social environments, violations of the rights, and heightened suicide risks among LGBTQ+ youth, what can the EU and its citizens do to ensure their safety and equal treatment across Europe?
